In answer to your question, the piece I showed there was done for an artist friend who brought me the gourd to work with. I had originally intended to sell them but never got around to marketing them. I can't seem to find any of the birdhouse photos. They don't actually photograph well because of the shape of the gourds. Most of my serious work...art and writing, focuses on the intersection of beauty and the grotesque...so it's not highly marketable in the tourist trade. The painted birdhouses I used to do when I lived on the coast featured fish, octopus', moray eels and such. But I don't mass produce such things. If someone wants me to make one...I do...but it's on a by request basis. My writing has been more of a focus over the past year.
