The feel of cold water

I call this "the secret garden" in my neighborhood.

It is on the grounds of a catholic church.

Everything about it is soothing.

The girls played.

I enjoyed the cold water on my feet. It was an amazing sensation after a long day of hard work.

The flowers were happy too.

The sound of water moving and falling lulls me to dreamland.

We admired the tree and considered climbing it.

And the sound continues...

A woman for women

She's one of those people that enriches anyone in her presence. She's an ordained minister in the Methodist Church and it was fun for me, a Catholic raised girl, to get to know her. She's moving back to her beloved Maryland to work here.

Farewell friend.

Among Us

What unspeakable comfort and strength is ours to know that in the midst of all our mischief, amid our scheming and bad speculations, regardless of our shaping, misshaping or reshaping of life, with all of our activities and failures, God is among us. God is not a graven image of our own longings and shortcomings. Rather God, through Christ, is among us as friend, advocate, savior, and above all as our living Lord, to correct, to forgive, to comfort, to love, and to heal.

My Sunday Verse

Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

Inspired in church

Yesterday's sermon was inspiring. The pastor reiterated concepts I already practice, and it served as validation for me to keep on doing it. it's about a journey to be Christ like in our daily lives.
1. How do you treat other people in action and words?
2. Are you characterized by the kind of love that creates unity, community, and harmony?
3. Are you wise? Meaning that you are able to say and do the right thing at the right time, in the right way, for the right reason?
4. Do you carry an attitude of gratitude?
