School Bus

I worked on a project that will decorate a wall of a middle school.

I found this clip art.

And turned into this.  Snowden helped me with some of the painting.  I am super happy about this accomplishment.

We caught the exhibit on its last day at the Botanical Garden.

It was one of the best visits. A dream to photograph.

Armed with free passes, we went on a quick trip to the Phoenix Art Museum.

I enjoyed this field trip. Summer break is officially here and these trips are fun and add excitement to an otherwise unscheduled day.

Celebrating Africa

In Art Masterpiece at school.

Tribal women in Namibia gather after the rains to repaint their mud houses using their fingers as brushes. They work in harmony and do not compete. I taught this lesson in a 5th grade class today and I asked most kids individually what they remembered. They remembered that the women worked as a group.

Quilted Art

Sometimes it's fun to be out after a long day at school or work, so I drove us to the Chandler Center for the Arts. The current show features contemporary art quilts.

The family creates together

Today's together time was spent being creative with paper.

My backyard working space. I made cards. I have been inspired by friends who are fans of Stampin' Up!.

Snowden used my new Prismacolor pencils to draw a dark and scary scene.

I would like to do more of this. Having one's family close and engaged in an activity is priceless.
