GR Herberger Park

I can name a bunch of reasons why go here for a little bit...

Here is GR Herberger Park in Phoenix.

It is the site of a station in the Arizona Canal.

It has a bunch of waterfall features.

And it has shells, not featured here, for picking by 2 little girls.

So, if you are on Fall Break and are bored with staying home, take a drive here to get to know your city.

Take me out to the ball game

Take me out to the park... We went to see the Diamond Backs this week.

This European/African has finally gotten a grip on the game of baseball.

But then again, I am always motivated to keep up with my daughters knowledge of things so I can carry on conversations about what matters to them.

This evening game was a winning game for the D-Backs. It was exciting and pleasant. The roof was open and we had the most delicious breeze envelop us.

I want to go back.

Meteor Crater

This was the first stop of the trip.

We would see more of this kind of scenery throughout the trip.

Rumor has it that astronauts practiced here.

Happenings at the Capitol

We may or may not have a budget by the end of today, the last day of the fiscal year for the government.

Things were hopping at the Capitol.

It's thrilling to watch and be part of history in the making.

To the Science Center

Off to see the Lego exhibit...

It's a bit of a walk from the parking garage.

Here the nose sneezes out the balls that were placed inside the nostrils.

There were round tables set up for Lego constructions. These pieces were geared toward medieval creations. This one is Snowden's.

This one is Grasshopper's.

The chest of a taller than life size dude/guard. These were worth seeing.
