A little bit greener

It's official. We are now users of our very own recycle shopping bags.

It took me a while to get the groove but I have steadily worked on my system and now it is implemented.

The day it all changed

It seemed very surreal to me, watching this place I knew so well fall apart. The Northeast was in upheaval, but I watched it on TV from the desert.

My family was OK, my co-workers were worried about their loved ones, but OK.

I felt far, angry, and helpless.

The Hunger Site

The Hunger Site is owned and operated by Tim Kunin and Greg Hesterberg, co-owners of CharityUSA.com. Long-time friends and activists, they bought The Hunger Site in mid-August of 2001. On average, over 220,000 individuals from around the world visit the site each day to click the "give free food" button and help feed the hungry. The Hunger Site was the first online activism site on the Web. Earth Hour - Phoenix

This global event was started in 2007 by World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in Australia. Today, many cities around the globe will participate in Earth Hour from 8 - 9 PM by turning off their lights. Our homestead will participate. Google went dark. The Honorable Harry Mitchell who represents us Arizonans in the United States Congress, invited us to join him and turn off our lights. I would not have known but for his email.
I'm excited.
